Have you googled the park and ride site for York? Here it is http://www.york.gov.uk/parking/ride/
This might help. Seems Silver Line 9 is the one that mentions the Shambles

The First bus website says that Silver Line 9, from Monks Cross, "is ideal if you're heading to The Shambles":

thanx all, a friend says the buses are frequent and a good price plus the parking is free on the park and ride scheme so cant go wrong hopefully x
Failing that head for the cliffords tower car park. Shambles is about five mins walk away. Oryiu could ask craft if you can park on her drive.
lol Count it would be an extremely brisk hour's walk from my current house....
I thought you might offer to give her a lift you old misery. ;-)
SmartCar = 2 seats = me and dog.
That's not great exercise for the dog :-)
He's the driver..............

craft do you not have a roof rack? for the hubby
The last time I went to York I got so frustrated trying to park I stuck it on the grass by the river. I knew I would get a ticket, but i also knew it would'nt be towed.
