To get post office insurance do I need my passport with me?
A user has told me that you get your documents there and then, is this true?

No, you don't need ID with you, Gorilla-G, and yes, it's set up for you whilst you wait.

Dido so this couldn't be done online then for that reason?
If you're buying foreign currency at the same time, though, and want to pay with a debit card, you will need photo ID.
I do mine on-line, and print off a copy straight away ....... they send all blurb later.
Sorry, if I was mistaken, but I did think that when I did insurance a while ago at post office that I had to have proof of identity. I hope I haven't misled you.
If you had it with you anyway, dido, they may have used it just to speed up the data entry we have to do. :)
Oh I see Whiskeysheri
Do you mean travel insurance? No, you don't need any identification with you. (I work in a Post Office). Just fill in the form, pay the money and walk out of the door with your policy in your hand. Simples!
So do I, spudqueen. :)
