For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.It 'should' be safe with a travel adapter. Just make sure the travel adapter pins aren't too loose. If they are then try another adapter (pins being loose could cause arcing - sparks). Just keep an eye on it.
I live in Germany and my non-German electrical stuff I've changed the plug or use travel adapters (only only low voltage stuff).
