Yes, certainly. Not sure if you have to buy a ticket for it, but I see dogs on the train quite regularly.
I don't know but, funnily enough, I was about to ask the same question!!!! I KNOW I've seen dogs on trains before though!!! :)
Only if he's trained ;-)
Last year I went from London to Aberdeen and there were two dogs in the carriage I was in. One went all the way which is about a 7 hour journey
Ages since I did it but yes. I think I had to pay something but not a lot.

Well, I've never seen one. You live and learn. Hmmm.
Thanks x-ray. I thought it was a tumbleweed situation for a moment.
That's interesting and I'm surprised. I can believe a lapdog but surely not a big dog, there are so many anti-dog squad out there these days I'd expct other passengers to complain.
Why should anyone complain about a dog on a train?
Question Author
It's either drive to London or get a train.
well yes why should they but they would. Lots of people are scared of big dogs.
Question Author
Yes, why would you complain? If they are well behaved like mine is and just lie on the floor under a seat, what's the harm?
Oh right (?).
Next question would be do you book so you are in 2 little seats together or book a table seat so he can sit under the table, but then he'd be in the way of other people... hmmmm..... (head scratcher....)
I don't think they are allowed to sit on the seats, clipclop :-)
Question Author
If I bought him a ticket, which I won't, could he sit on it?
I once told my mate die taken my pit bull terrier on the train. 'oh, where does he sit' asked my friend.
'Anywhere he fekkin pleases' I replied
You are getting the wrong end of the stick, it wouldn't bother me I love dogs -How can you question Zacs that a lot of the population either don't like dogs or don't trust them? Look how many have won their desire to keep them off beaches and out of parks. My MIL would go berserk if she had to sit near a dog.
