I always find it a chore to pack for a holiday as much as I look forward to the actual holiday, I like to wear linen trousers but find I want to pack every top in the wardrobe to go with them and dont get me started on shoes and sandals how do you do yours?

Always take far too many tops -'just in case'. Always look like a bag of sh!te as everything will be creased and look as if I've slept in it. Not a problem though as I'm confident nobody will notice me.
I am currently ploughing through the holiday ironing, but just know its going to be creased so my heart's not really in it. Have a nice time though.
when I pack I always roll everything up like a swiss roll...hardly any creases when you come to unpack. i shove undies in gaps and put shoes in wherever they fit....sometimes, if we are going in the car door to door we just shove shoes in loose.....otherwise shoes are in a smaller separate bag.

hope you have a luvlee hol!
I fold in half and then roll things. Less creases I find. Linen trousers are barmy they look creased anyway. Sainsbury do a brilliant soft jersey trouser which is really comfy, £8 and very understanding (for future ref) they are perfect for evening where is can be chillier. (or during the day in England LOL)
..great minds Alice LOL
indeed Angel!

Ive been told its best to roll it rather than fold it

sorry that must of overlapped
Do what us men do, wear it.
I always pack far too much and every single time I say that I am going to cut down on the amount I take .......... it is yet to happen. And I always use the laundry service on the last day, so I come home and everything gets hung up in the wardrobe, no washing or ironing. Have a great time by the way.
Another tip. Take old clothes and then throw them away after wearing. No washing, no ironing, and (in some countries) happy cleaning staff!
I don't travel in trousers, because I never know when I am going to come across a Turkish-style loo. Very difficult for ladies in trousers, Turkish loos.
As for packing, I lay everything in a pile on a bed, folded just enough to be the same width as the suitcase. I put the most delicate and most-easily creased things on the bottom, working up a pile with the least creasable on the top. Then I heap all my undies, nighties and swimwear and towels on top of that. Then I very loosely roll the pile from one end and simply place it in the suitcase.
We always take one shirt, pair of socks, underwear for each day, then one for spare. Then a pair of jeans or combat trousers each for every four days.

Years ago I wrote two check lists which I've saved on the computer. One is for travelling abroad and the other for in the UK where we can buy things more easily. I then print a list off when we start packing then tick all the items off as we go. They include things like sunglasses, spare glasses, spare belt, spare bootlaces, travel kettle, alarm clock, sunlotion, tickets and passports, medicines, headache pills, shaver etc. etc. Once everything is ticked off I know we haven't forgotten anything.
I wrote my list today for packing.. I usually start by gathering everything together and then I get my mum to pack it away. She's so much better at it than me!!! :)

I can send her round to help you Fruitsalad? ;) lol!
