Hi guys,we are off to Rovinj the end of July for a week and wondered what money to take with us,we know its the kuna but should we take a mix of cash and currency.We are going half-board which we dont usually do so we are not sure how much to take for spends,we wont be using any cards while there because of the chargies.

Lucky you - I went to Rovinj 20 years ago, we loved it. We took kunar with us, but these days I wouldn't take any - I'd just get the money out of an ATM when I get there. (I don't know what you mean by cash and currency!)
^ PS if you have an account with somewhere like Nationwide, the foreign transaction charges are far less than with some of the major banks.
If you fancy going to Venice for the day you might want some euros
