Weather in Highlands

Going up to the Scottish Highlands at the weekend ... what is the weather going to do ? Winter or Summer ?

Inverness is forecasting dry and quite warm for the weekend about 20 degrees. But being Scotland I would still pack a jacket in case it rains. although we have had some fairly good weather over the last few days. It was 25 degrees yesterday. Have a great time.

It is bloomin' windy here today (Inverness-ish). I understand the Western Isles have had a great summer so far - sunny and warm.

Highlands two hours north of Edinburgh ...

Up here we get four seasons in one day
today it is blowing a gale that would knock you off your feet but not to cold

i'd heard that the highlands have 4 seasons -
june, july, august and winter.

June july and august are winter to can count on one hand the nice days

I travel up and down to Inverness twice a week and use these guys. You can check for various points on your route as well as your destination.

Weather was great, complete opposite of 10 day forecast, plenty of sun, went to Highlands, but getting colder as we left today. Apparently they are expecting snow !
