Lombok

Has anyone ever been? Thinking of going next year around May time... is that a good time to go?

Lombok is very nice, rather like Bali once used to be before it became very commercial. Lombok has managed to resist over commercialisation thus far because it takes a little more effort to get there. Sengiggi is the main resort on the island however there a a few others and also the Gili islands to stay on depending on what you want from your stay, more socialable or more secluded? There are loads of places to stay from really cheap bungalows to 5* resorts, all are excellent value in comparision to other places around the world. We got a room for 6 days the 4* sengiggi hotel for �120. Loads to go out and see around the island, wildlife, diving, walking and sight seeing, boat trips etc. All in all great value, great place, great people, get there before it becomes to commercial, the government has grand plans for the place and once the new international airport is built it will soon become Bali 2 !!
