We are getting enough to bye drinks when we go, then change currency when we get there, I use the P.O. & on your return take what you have brought back to the P.O.
Ah, use the cash points when I get there!
Was thinking --should I take half English and half Dollars?.
Or use my N. West card for transfer of monies while in Perth.
As Boxtops suggest, the simplest (and almost certainly the cheapest) way to get Ozzie dollars is to use your UK debit card in Ozzie cash machines. Simply remember to advise your bank in advance that you'll be making withdrawals overseas.
I'd say just buy them when you land, exchange unused ones as you leave. Top up from ATMs. But there are so many exchange bureaux, and ATMs, here and there there's no way of predicting who will give the best rates.
You only need to take enough dollars (in cash) to see you through the first few days. (e.g. for your taxi from the airport). Thereafter just use your debit card, either to make purchases directly or at cash machines.
You Abers are so helpfull. My minds boggling at all the things we have to do before this hol. So, will take advice from you all.
Thank you so much x pusskin
Don`t use your debit card to make purchases. Using a debit card is just about the most expensive way to make purchases abroad due to hidden loading charges. Use a credit card instead.
