I signed up eve, just out of interest at the phenomenal amount of money people will obviously pay for things like Alexander McQueen handbags, special days out, etc. There wasn't any obligation, I just get the occasional mailing. How the other half live....

Having been on a few safari/expedition 'packages' I can appreciate the amount of personal organisation they replace; efficiently and cost effectively.

But £17,000 a week seems a bit steep to be shuttled around to someone else's schedule

16 weeks of that would drive me crazy

I'd rather spend it lolling in the top top spa retreat in the Maldives or similar, would probably cost that much. Can't bear to have things planned out to a schedule like that.

I always think there are two commodities in Travel; time and money

If you are time limited then you pay to have a bit more certainty

When you have plenty of time you can make your own way for less

I would prefer to make this particular trip independently over the course of a year

The ad assumes that everyone is an animal lover. I'm not particularly an animal lover. I can take them or leave them, especially at that price.
