Can anyone confirm that the electricity in Dubai is 220v, and that the plugs are the same as UK ie 3 pin? Thank you.

Thank you nurse Woofy .That's just what I was thinking and they're not cheap to buy if it's a fail. I did hint at the clinic but it fell on deaf ears and it is important that it's kept dry and I couldn't possibly put those compression bandages on myself as they have to be at a certain tightness.I'll see how I go.
Mr.S washes my back for me and I manage to wash the rest of me.I just miss a lovely hot soak in the bath for me bones.
Oh dear Jude ,I hope it soon heals up for you and that it's not too painful.Take it easy .No jazzing about and definitely no jiving :)
Night all,sleep tight
Shaney I wish I'd had someone to wash my back in the last few days. ;-)
Never mind these big fat bandages are coming off this afternoon. Out to a one handed lunch first with my sisters, a second cousin (80+)and her daughters.
I have to say my wrist hasn't been too painful. I'm surprised as I had a regional anaesthetic and heard Carlos hammering away even used a screw driver to get the pins out.. In fact when I looked up I could see him doing it in a slightly blurred reflection in the light. In fact when stitched it up and said that's that then B****r me if he didn't turn my arm over and do the same an the other side. Can't wait to see what it looks like now.
Sorry, don't I go on.. See ya later and thanks all for your comments.
Evenin all....it's been a lovely breezy day. I've just pottered in short sessions, no energy and a very painful elbow. I want some dizzy pills but because I haven't had a prescrip for them in the past 6 months I have to be seen. Can you get through to make an appt? Phooey.

That's sounds unpleasant Jude, you're not going on, you're very brave. Hope it heals well.
I don't know about a back scrub, I could do with a rub down with an oily rag.
back scrub, you could try our new super shower strips three layers of skin in one go. Gino called back, he was working on some emergency till midnight yesterday btu woudl come today. No sign yet. Hoover packed up so I've taken it to the tip; OH bought a new one but it's not as advertised - I think they've given us the wrong tubes - so that will have to go back. I've been to a physio about my fascist plantar and he's ultrasounded it and taped it up. So we're winning some and losing some.
I have been making a sparkly crown to go on a planted tub at my front door to celebrate the Queen’s birthday because this is a Royalist household. I will show you all when its finished...anyway today I have used two colours of glitter and glue and also made salmon marinated in a beetroot puree (blitz the beetroot with salt sugar and seasonings and splop all over the raw salmon then refrigerate for two days...anyway my point is I have done all this and remained clean which is quite a miracle...
Gino turned up late and worked until past 9 but the shops were shut so he couldn't get a non-returning valve, so he'll have to finish tomorrow. Meanwhile we were politely not having dinner while he was here so a belated steak and chips all round.
Hello all
Bit of a gloomy day here, the cloud never cleared and it's not been too warm either.Hope things went well after they took the bandages off Jude and that it's not playing you up too much. They would have had to knock me out completely to do that.
It's a nightmare getting an appt Robinia. You get dizzy keeping on re-dialling.I've got Stemetil on my repeat prescription but I don't always cash it in as I don't take them regularly only as and when but they still review it every so often.
Well done Woofy. That reminds me I must find up my tiara .I coloured in a bookmark today ..lol.That's the sum of my achievements for Monday apart from doing the dinner which was prick and ding ,pottering household stuff and some knitting.
It's no good having the wrong tubes Jno:)
I'm off to have bandages put on again tomorrow. How thrilling.
What with wrists, knees, legs, elbows and dodgy plantars we make a right crew.
Goodnight lovelies ,sleep tight .
Morning...it was lovely but it's cloudy now. I'm waiting for a van man, I don't need to go anywhere today but I 'spect he'll show up the minute I go to the loo.

I threw some sweet peas in around an obelisk yesterday, I'd grown them from saved seeds so they might be wishy . Monty Don did his last week, gotta try and keep up :/ I love his dogs, Nigel and Nelly. I think he has a couple of small ones too.

We don't redial now shaney, we sit in a queue....and wait. The thing is the voice says 7/8 mins waiting so you resign to that....and 20 mins later it's still 5 more mins. By the time I got through yesterday all appts were gone. I'm giving today a miss, will try tomorrow. I'd cash one in early if I was you shaney, that way you don't have to run out. Good luck tomorrow.

My heel/tendon's flared up big time due to my dizzy clumsiness. I stepped back to sit down and whacked a bare heel hard on the coffee table. It bruised and at night the pain goes halfway up my calf.

Carry on spinning/hobbling....
*wishy-washy colour
oh lawdy, I'm tired, that should have been 'today' shaney.

Morning mothers, lovers and all others!
Lovely sunny day but not too warm. I've been to village for a coffee and enjoyed it. I have moved both the settees and cleaned underneath, found 2 xmas baubles and lots of dust, mopped it all and hoovered the carpet as some of the dust got on the carpet even though I had rolled it up! Must wash the curtains, oh am in spring cleaning mode! Have to sort out under the bed next, it is a mess,

As I am not going to my usual hairdresser I don't get eyebrows tinted so today I bought some eyebrow mascara in the run up to daring to tint them myself, well what a mess , all over the place,,stupid brush with pointy end, looked like a clown, anyway am perserving and think it am getting the hang of it,

This stupid stupid tablet, I obviously mean gino and gino is what I typed but I did not check what the stupid tablet decided to write,
Ginormous does not disappoint?
I wouldn't know, nothing has ever been ginormous in my life.

Is it me or has the weather turned really heavy? I didn't have a very good night but I was bumbling along until lunchtime. Now I can hardly move my arms and legs, they feel like lead.

They had some really fine false eyelashes in Boots, I'd love to try some.
Question Author
I remember in the 60s wearing 2 pairs of eyelashes for normal day wear and drawing in the bottom ones ,,what palaver, no,am just trying to, make my eyebrows more noticeable, there's quite a few there but pale so this just colours them so they are noticeable, a bit too much after my first attempt.
Poor Robi, just rest when you can, you can do the ironing at midnight if it so takes you,
my new credit card, to replace the abused one, arrived last week and I am already using it... but OH didn't get one despite being an authorised user. So I rang them today and enquired where it was; they frowned (I can tell this over the phone) and said oh dear, we'd better cancel those ones as well and send you out new ones.

Having one of those periods where nothing eve goes quite right, really. Three visits from Gino, three credit cards, and we'll have to pick up a third vacuum cleaner when Gino's been and gone.
