Regarding risks, you would be prudent to exercise extreme caution, much like in any other major African city, especially after dark. Females would be more vunerable than males. A city like Lagos is very poor, and any outward signs of wealth will increase your potention for being the subject of a robbery or worse. I would also suggest that you do not hire a car, and enploy a repuatable driver if you intend on travelling even short distances. Your hotel will be able to advise you.
