I said i would buy sons euros off him and give him english cash! He has 140 Euros so do i give him 140 x 71p??? Is this fair or am i ripping him off????

As you are not charging him any fees, as most banks/currency exchanges are, and you are giving him a good rate, I'd say you were being more than fair.

a straight £100 should do it, with neither of you being ripped off (your own figure gives you £99.40).
