Dubai Airport

I would like some advice about buying gold at Dubai airport, flying from uk to Australia & was wondering is it good value compared to Uk/Australia or should I not buy any.

It's for a gift, a couple of bangles, as long as it doesn't break the bank.

All I'd suggest is, I never buy if it's not easy to return defective goods.

If gold is not hall-marked, it will have no monetary value in UK. If the recipient ever needed to sell the items, they could not be sold as gold in UK without getting them (UK) hall-marked.

hallmark aside, try telling the customs folk that gold bought in Dubai and brought to the UK has no monetary value!!
