Leeds Castle
At £24.50 each I'm feeling undecided about visiting Leeds Castle when I'm in the area next week.
Given the time of year and possible poor weather, is it worth it?
Anyone know of any offers other than those connected to public transport?
Alternatively any other suggestions for a day out nearby, we've been to Chatham Docks and are heading further east later in the week.

I remember it as very prettily situated (it may look more so in snow but less so in rain) and interesting inside but not fabulous. It's partly a matter of whether you like that sort of thing.
Also within reach are Canterbury and its cathedral, and Sissinghurst garden - again, if you like that sort of thing.

I went in May/June this year and it is a fantastic place to visit but I agree with you on the price. We oldies got a reduction, but still too much.
Our only 'revenge' was to pass the tickets on to friends so that they could visit, and ask them to keep forwarding them. Felt slightly less 'done'.
But, nevertheless, an excellent visit.

Is this 2 for 1 voucher any good to you?

Crazy prices. £15 tops for me especially non peak.
I've checked Knole and thats undergoing restoration, Ightham is all but closed for the season, others Hever etc are a bit too far far a field for us. So what else is there to do in or around Maidstone or Medway that keeps us away from the shoppers and out of the weather? Its a chellenge I know!
