I've never watched Game of Thrones
I've never read a Harry Potter book or a film
I've never flown in a helicopter
But I have....
Zip wired from 800ft
Walked on burning coals
Abseiled
parascended
Mine also the other way round but I have also flown on Concord and adopted my daughter at 3 hours of age and have been blessed ever since, especially with the 2 grandchildren
@Baldric, in an odd phycological way, I'm scared of heights ie,going up a mountain in a car yet abseiling and zip wiring for charity ,doesn't faze me, I think the abseiling would probably be only a couple of thousand feet or more but parachute jumping is about 10,000 ft isn't it?
Ive never watched Jaws/Star Wars/Grease
Ive never read 50 Shades of Gray (Tried to, managed less than a 1/4 of it....utter tripe). Never read A Brief History of Time either, despite once owning a copy of it.
Ive never tried cocaine or speed.
I HAVE tried heroin/weed/glue and petrol sniffing
I have piloted an aircraft (not at the same time as trying heroin/weed/glue or petrol sniffing...)
I have met and spoken to both Prince Charles and Camilla.
I have absconded from prison.
I have met...and spoken too...Paul Martin (Flog It), Shaun Hutson (horror writer) Claire Sweeny (actress) and Jeremy Beadle (Err?)
HALO is an acronym for “high altitude, low opening.” That means that military special forces teams will jump out at a high altitude (generally 30 to 40 thousand feet), and they'll freefall to a much lower altitude (as low as about 800 feet above the ground) before they deploy their parachutes.
