I’m thinking of a family holiday in Greece next year. I would like mainland Greece as I like sightseeing not sitting on beaches all day.
Any recommendations please.

Parga.
Athens.
Halkidiki, Kalamata.
Thessaloniki is generally considered to be the cultural capital of Greece. It's served by direct flights from Gatwick (BA, TUI and easyJet), Luton (easyJet and Wizz), Stansted (Jet2 and Ryanair), Manchester (easyJet, Ryanair, TUI and Jet2), Birmingham (Jet2), East Midlands (Jet2), Edinburgh (Jet2), Leeds/Bradord (Jet2), Newcastle (Jet2), Birmingham (TUI) and Bristol (TUI), so it's easily accessible from most parts of the UK.

I would also recommend Halkadiki. I have visited many different Greek Islands and enjoyed my time there but my sojourn in Halkadiki stands out by far in my pleasant memories.
There's plenty of sight-seeing yo do on the islands, but I would suggest you look at Parga, which is known as "the island on the mainland". The best of both worlds.
Kos. Some good archeological sites. Nice villages.
start off in Athens, lot to see and do. I spent some time there and can testify that its splendid, though getting somewhat over priced.
