The Strand Palace Hotel has had plenty of praise from ABers over the years. It's right in the heart of London, with easy access to all of the tourist sites. (A number 9 bus runs directly from there to the Royal Albert Hall):

I can't access the relevant dates directly on their own website but Booking.com can get you a 3-night stay there on the relevant weekend, for two people in a double-bedded room, for £541 (i.e. about £90 pppn).

Premier Inn has got some real bargains for that weekend on offer at the moment. Checking in on the Friday, and leaving on the Monday, at their Kings Cross hotel costs a total of just £224. It's even cheaper in some of their other central London hotels, with their 'Hub By Premier Inn', also at Kings Cross, costing just £188.50.
(Their 'Hub' hotels are their basic, but still very smart and very modern, ones: https:/ /www.pr emierin n.com/g b/en/hu b.html )

There are very few tickets left for the 3pm perf.
Just check you're happy with the ticket availability before you go any further.

So there's 4 of you.
Let's cost that out then: If everyone's got Senior Railcards, then travelling out at a 'sensible' time on Friday (i.e. not super early) and back at almost any time on Monday, might cost around £58 per person in total. (Anyone without a Senior Railcard might pay around £87 per person).
A 3-night stay at the 'conventional' Premier Inn at Kings Cross (rather than their 'Hub' one) would cost £112 per person. Mid-priced tickets for the concert (e.g. for the front arena) might cost £54 each.
So that's a 4-day break (assuming that you travel on Friday morning and back at the latter end of Monday), including the concert tickets, for £224 per person for the Railcard holders or £253 per person for those without Railcards. That sounds reasonable enough to me ;-)

You won't be travelling on the tube very much at all from the RAH. The nearest station is South Kensington which is the best part of 1km walk down Exhibition Road (or under the pedestrian subway which goes under that road). The No.9 bus will take you towards town via Knightsbridge, Piccadilly, Charing Cross and the Strand to Aldwych. Plenty of connections (both bus and tube) are available along the way. If you want to get to Kings Cross you can either take the Piccadilly Line tube from Knightsbridge or the 390 from Hyde Park Corner.
The Premier Inn "Hubs" are good fun. The rooms are very compact but extremely functional. You get no tea and coffee facilities but there is free tea and coffee in the attached cafe.

I’m sure Bobbi will find a hotel in London. We stay at one in Kensington when we’re in London - walking distance from the RAH and with a guest car park - but it’s quite expensive so I won’t recommend that. Our friends stayed in one in Russell Square and that was very reasonable. With Covid having had a devastating effect on businesses there may well be some real bargains to be had.
