Can I get from Luton to Glasgow by rail and how long would it take?

It isn't easy because you have to go either via London or Leicester & Crewe. I think this is because they are on different main routes. Looks like the best bet would be to try to get to Milton Keynes, and then it is a direct link. It takes about 5.5 hours plus getting to MK. It looks as though Virgin Trains actually operates a bus service between Luton & MK. Check out http://www.thetrainline.com for more info. Good luck.
I would suggest calling national rail enquiries on 0845 7 48 49 50 you can also go to the railtrack website for train time information as for booking them I would recommend www.qjump.co.uk, though I would also suggest you check out flying as it may turn out to be as cost effective
Nicola it would be far easier to fly as easyjet are based at luton and they fly to glasgow, I hope this means your thinking of coming up to see the fish, the bird, the tree and the bell!

Is it about �24 return with EasyJet? I've been looking on the internet but there's nothing about fares.
