Hi,
On Monday I will be going to York to stay for four days. I will be staying at The Georgian House Hotel. Does anyone know this place and it's reputation? Also any tips or ideas of where to visit, would be great. Thanks in advance, Sandra

If you want touristy places, then the Yorvik Viking Centre, the Yorkshire Museum, Cliffords Tower and the Minster are all worth seeing.
St Williams's College - just behind the Minster has a lovely tea shop.
There are great shops in York - all the main chains but lots of nice smaller individual ones too especially on Goodramgate, Stonegate and Petergate.
It's a lovely city to just walk around so do take some time to do that - it's a very walkable city. Take a trip on the river too.
If you want to see a show or something check what's on at the Barbican Centre or the Grand Opera House.
If you have a car and want to get out of the city for a day there are loads of lovely stately homes etc in the Yorkshire are - Castle Howard being the most notable and definitely worth a visit. Or take a trip to Helmsley - a village on the ege of the Moors - its a lovely little market town.
Hope that gives you somewhere to start.
