airport transfers

Hi all I've got a week in Majorca from 5-3-06.Could anybody advice on the cheapest & quickest transfer from Palma Airpport to C'an Pastilla.I believe that the distance between the two places is only a couple of Km's but after trying for a quote online for a taxi I was told it would be aboult 30 euros.That sounds like a rip off to me.....

I normally rent a car in Mallorca so don't know any public transport specifics, but according to the local transport company's website, http://www.emtpalma.es/ the airport bus travels downtown via the motorway, which means that anyone going to Can Pastilla will have to take a taxi (presumably hence the high fare - take it or leave it) or travel downtown & return on a service 15 bus back out again.

You might be better off renting a car for the week. You'll see much more of the island if you do that.
