I suggest to anybody going to New Zealand or Australia to do the 'round the world tour'. By going westerley all the time you don't get jet lag but I don't know why. Fly to Los Angeles then onto Australia (we stopped off at Fidji on the way) and come back by Singapore.

Cairns is a lovely place to visit with the Barrier Reef and the tropical forests-you'll love it.

For Singapore to Cairns i would say about 6-8 Hours

Cairns is a good town, but if you get the chance to go south towards Townsville, jump on a boat a spend a few days in Magnetic Island. Amazing!!
