Any suggestions for a weekend break to Italy flying from Manchester? Thinking Florence may be interesting! Possibly going in October.

go to Florence and enjoy the shopping (leather markets, gold markets..), the museums like the Ufuzzi (probably spelled that wrong!) great food, see the statue David and can always take a trip to the Tuscan countryside! And the police officers wear these really sexy knee length black boots - always a plus!

Florence,Rome, or Venice you decide all wonderful places, with Rome everything is within walking distance,you will love them all, Have a great time, Ray

Florence is a beautiful city, but it can be difficult to see it for all the groups of tourists. Everything is in walking distance and it is great to stroll through in the evening.

Rome was my favourite Italian city, every time you turn a corner you come across something else amazing. It's stylish and elegant and has a buzz unlike any other city I have been to. The Gelato was fab too!!
