Travelling Around Europe

Hi me & my partner would like to go on a road trip around Europe, has anyone here done this and could they give us some advice about where to start, useful tips or any recommended websites as I'm really not sure what we'll need to get started.

How long have you got, what are you interested in?
Are you going by car or train?

If I was leaving today for maybe three weeks, I'd start in France, travel down to the south coast, get into Italy, but stay mainly in the northern part with maybe two days in Rome, then get into Eastern Europe, since I always wanted to see Prague.

ideally we would like to stay there for longer maybe get jobs for a few months but i'm not sure if we'll need work permits and yes hopefully we would be driving ourselves. All the places that you suggested are what I had in mind maybe Germany too.

Well, Germany is where I would start from...

When I was doing Interrail in 1992 I remember some people who did that.
Travel for a while then stay somewhere and do jobs helping out picking apples, grapes, olives, and stuff.

Unfortunately I don't have details, but I wish you lots of fun on your trip, and when you come to Germany, you can visit me, and I'll show you around...
