Chester Hotels...

Can anyone recommend a lovely hotel in Chester at all? We were hoping to stay on both Friday and Saturday night this week, but are having trouble finding anywhere with vacancies. Looking to spend around �75 per night.

There's an evening race meeting at Chester this Friday, so most accommodation for this weekend will have been booked up many months ago.

I doubt, however, that you'll find any vacancies for this weekend.

Since I don't like posting completely negative responses, I'll suggest staying just down the road (about 20 minutes drive away) at the Ramada Plaza on the outskirts of Wrexham. They've got rooms available this weekend for a total of �150 for 2 nights for two people:

I was also going to suggest the Ramada as I work near there. It's pretty plush as it has been open less than 12 months. If you have any difficulty finding it just follow signs for the hospital. It is 1 minute drive away from the dual carriageway that links to Chester.
Don't know if it helps/applies to you but they also give 15% discount to NHS staff.
