You live in Staffordshire, and the weather looks nice for Sunday, so search the web for events in Staffordshire on Sunday.

I found this list of attractions in Staffordshire, plenty to do there:

You do not say what you like, but have you considered going to a country house and garden.

From the list I added above how about shugborough hall, that is near you.

Also look at what the National Trust have near you.

The National Trust have loads of country houses and gardens near you (including Shugborough Hall). Go to the National Trust web site and search for your local area:

Perhaps Attingham Park

Or Cardingmill Valley (which is free apart from parking) and is beautiful

Or Kinver Edge (which is also free) for wonderful views

I you join the National Trust you get into all their properties for free.
As well as the National Trust you can also see what English Heritage have near you.

Here is their web site

You could go to Ironbridge, loads to do there

Or Wroxeter roman city (site of)

Or Stokesay Castle

You could also go down the M54 near you to Shrewsbury, a lovely old town, on the bend of a river

http://www.shrewsburyguide.info/

That would be a lovely day out. Lots of old buildings, gardens by the river, shops, pubs etc. In fact here is a picture showing how lovely it is:
