Hi there are 6 adults going to cyprus in sep for 1 week we need a 7 seater car to hire, we cant afford to pay much more the 250 a week anyone know of any cheap rentals we can try. thanks.

Which airport are you flying to? Quite often local firms are cheaper and give service equal to or better than the big names. Also, are you going near the beginning or the end of the month? I'll see what I can find out for you.

Hi Tamirra. I've talked to a few friends and contacts around Paphos, and sadly I've come up with much the same as bob - about �290 is the best I could find too. Many companies are asking �350-�450 at that time of year - the low season doesn't start until November in most cases. All I can suggest is that you try Googling "cheap car hire paphos" and see if you can do any better - but I don't honestly think you will. Sorry! But have a great holiday anyway. In a few days we're off to our house in Cyprus for a month - if I find a better bargain I'll nip into an internet cafe and let you know!

Would you really do that for me, if you would that would be so good, where is Paphos is your house if you dont mind me asking, my hubby is a cypriot he has family in Larnaca, when we go out we stay in Kato, nice taking to you, hope you have a great time hun, do ya best for me, i done need a 7 seater anymore by the way just a car that holds 5 plus luggage of course, you know what us ladies are like, lol, so lots of boot room, the cheapest ive found is �160 something from gsp holiday car rentals, thats a day free plus free roof rack, you think you might be able to do better than that? be great if you could. Me again, sorry bout the mistakes ive just read my posting, well it is early in the morning and im all hot and bothered and just woken up, forgive me please im not really thick, lol.

No problem - our house isn't in Paphos, it's up in a village in the Troodhos mountains, but we fly into Paphos and spent many, many holidays there before buying. We have loads of friends (including one who runs a car hire firm!) in Paphos, and I confess we still drive down there (about an hour and a quarter each way) every Friday to do the weekly shop at Papantoniou's and have lunch with some friends - usually at Thomas's Jungle on Tombs of the Kings Road. I'll see what I can find out about a 5-seater; if you don't hear back fom me you'll know I couldn't beat �160! Cheers for now.
