can anyone recommend a reliable source for buying a cheap holiday.

I have used Lincoln Direct on teletext twice and so have friends. You can find them on the internet too.

You should give http://www.bargainescape.com a try. Lots of travel companies post their cheap/lastminute holidays on there.
