Hi there I am going to Peru around next April/ May and am wondering if anyone can recommend the best way to do the Inca trail i.e. any companies they have used and would recommend- thanks in advance.

In order to walk the Inca trail, you have to get a license. The only way of getting a license is to go with an organised group.
Two of the most highly recomended tour groups are United Mice (http://www.unitedmice.com/) and SAS Travel (http://www.sastravelperu.com/).
There are cheaper companies out there but as the saying goes 'you get what you paid for'. Cheaper companies will pay sherpa's less, and food can get dull and repetitve.
