Barbados
Hi I know it may be a little late, but my daughter and her boyfriend are going to Barbados for a fortnight on Thursday to The Superior studio Ocean View, Butterfly beach, Maxwell Road, Maxwell in a self catering appartment.
Ha anyone been here before? any does and dont's? any good places to eat, places to visit, what is the best foreign currency?
They both like surfing, so best beaches etc.
Any help would be appreciated
Many thanks in advance

Buses are good, but get the blue ones (public) rather than the yellow (private). Blue buses are cheap and you can get off anywhere on the route for about 50p.
Visit the Mount Gay rum factory for the tour (about $6US including drink). The caves are good too, forget what they are called.
Take US dollars, drink rum.

Plenty of ATMs so you can get cash easily with a credit card. Loads of good restaurants from cheap n cheerful to top of the range. St Lawrence Gap has a good selection. Visit the Oistins fish market at night for BBQd fresh fish dinners. Noisy and touristy on Friday but quieter during the week. Get out and about - loads to see and do. Bus or car or taxi, but it is easy to do. People are very friendly and helpful.
