Is it true that no motor insurance company covers you to drive around the "Arc de Triomphe"

When I drove in France on my English insurance I was covered to drive anywhere in france.

Don't believe everything you read in the papers.

Trying to obtain drive thru insurance on the other hand may be problematic.
