yes, provided they are gifts, and your family/friends are not going to refund the cost, or subsidise your journey, or give you a benefit in kind. Note that C&E "guidelines" for personal use still apply, ie your own cigs + gifted cigs should not exceed 3200.
You didn't say if you were flying within the EU.
You would be better buying cigs and tobacco in the Airport on your return- don't leave until you are on the flight as they don't carry them.

Can I buy 3200 cigarettes and so many tobaco or is one or the other
one or the other. you could try your luck, but bear in mind that avoidance of excise duty is a "civil" offence, meaning you can be fined on the "balance of probability" that Customs think you are a smuggler (rather than on any hard evidence per-se), and you might even forfeit your car on a bad day.
