Where? I would imagine that each hotel is slightly different, even if they are part of the same chain.
like CheekyChops says, it depends which one... but you can look up http://www.tripadvisor.com for a wide range of reviews of most hotels
Do NOT pay the full price for the room. Few people EVER pay the full price for the room.

Most of the big chains offer all sorts of deals.

Hilton offer special weekend breaks where dinner and breakfast is included.

Here is one web site but you can search for more.

Saga have a deal with Hilton where you can get great rates for a weekend break. See here

You are supposed to be over 50, but I am not sure how strict they are when you book.

Try searching on Hilton offers or Hilton breaks, things like that.
If you can find a good deal it may almost be cheaper to book a weekend break and only stay one night than pay the full price for one night.

And whereas the normal room rate does not include breakfast or dinner these deals always include breakfast and sometimes include dinner.

Not sure where you live, but found some Hilton deals for South East England, see here

Try searching on Hilton Winter Breaks
My wife and I stayed at the Hilton near Heathrow about 4 years ago and were so disgusted with the lack of service and appaling attitude that we vowed never again to stay at a Hilton ANYWHERE. I would rather stay at Fawlty Towers
I'm not sure that Hilton hotels are quite what people imagine. There are a few good ones but most are fairly ordinary. The Hilton National hotels are certainly nothing special
My in laws have had a few excellent value breaks in Hiltons. Look for a good deal and im sure you'll find it spot on! Enjoy it , she's a lucky girl! ;-)
