My partner and I want to move to France...
we would like to set up a B & B perhaps. Anybody know of anybody who has done this, or at least moved to France? Just wanted to know how it went for them, if they enjoyed it, if they struggled with the language, etc.
Thanks. x

But they are thinking about comming home as they are getting on and if it gets to a point where they are unable to drive they would be stuck as they live in the middle of nowhere in a 200+ yr old mill house south east of niort.
they did have french lessons before they left and if i remember correctly a lady came to the house.
you could look at this website and go to forums and post some questions.....
but above all make the effort to fit in and not just try to find english friends.

apparently the cost of living is now very high there, I have friends that came back after 7 years when they noticed whilst here on a break here that Tescos were selling 3 chickens for £10 and realised they were paying much more for everything, funny how a little thing like that triggers a chain reaction.
