Hiya,
I'm seventeen and not yet passed my test, and I was wondering if it is possible to get insurance for my parents car. If it is a stupid question then I apologise, but it made sense when I was thinking about it earlier.
Thanks,
Fiona

Your parents will be able to have you added to their insurance, so that you can practice under supervision, but I would imagine the extra premium would be a couple of hundred pounds. Get them to phone up their insurance company and ask.
Not a stupid question. You can't get the insurance, but your parents can have you added on to their policy they will be extra to pay but prob not as much as you expect. I did this for my daughter a couple of years ago and we did it by the month until she passed her test. Good Luck
i would strongly advise you have a few proper lessons first, before going out with one of your parents
and make sure they insure you as a learner driver. My sister was recently learning in my car on my policy. After she passed and I phoned insurance co to change policy to her being a full licence holder, they informed me she had been anyway! Muppets! Luckily, nothing happened while she was learning cos she wouldn't have been insured.
iv still got a provisional and taking my test at end of month!!yippee!! anyway i was insuredon my bfs car but now just bought my own so needed to insure that and i can even with a prov!!
