Recommendations for a weeks Sun in May

Does anyone have any recommendations or places to avoid for a week of sun in May?

I'm looking around the Med: spain, balerics, greek islands or mainland, portugal - anywhere like that

My only requirements are a beach and a couple of nice restaurants just for a bit of rest and relaxation

well, its the perfect time of year for where i live.
Corralejo, Fuertevenutra. in the Canary Islands, great weather, and because easter is over, virtually no kids.

Flights during may are dead cheap too, my frinds flying out from Birmingham for �1 plus taxes.

Check out http://www.fuerteventura.com for reviews and info, i believe that some of the restaurants here in old town are some of the best in Europe, and i have travelled so i know what im talking about.

Sounds great - lucky you getting to live in the sun.

I was going to book a package deal but you can't ignore flights that cheap. I'll definately look into that Bob A Job

also if there are some hotels in town that offer rooms for as little as �5 per night per room. at that price you can eat out in the best restaurants every night, and still spend less than going full board.
if your serious check out First choice or Thomas cook for flights. and check out Thompson's web page (jucst click on hotels and select Fuerte, corralejo.

A quick scan gave me one week in Dunas Caleta (mid town near beach) incl flights circa �450 for 2 people

Try a one week cruise out of Barcelona - on the Voyager of the Seas - get to see a different place every day [if you want] - all food and entertainment included for just over �600pp. Get your own cheap flight down to Barcelona and then a cab to the port which is about �40.

Thats a little bit over my budget auntiebertie. I only want a quick break in the sun for a couple of hundred. Otherwise it sounds really nice but I can't afford that at the moment
