Passport Query
My passport is due for renewal now so Ive sent it away, however Im getting married next year and so I will need it amended. Can anyone tell me if I will have to pay the renewal fee again?

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.Unfortunately, yes you will have to pay again to have your name changed on your passport, believe it's �52 at mo, as Im just trying to sort mine out. However, you can travel under your maiden name for your Honeymoon as long as it's booked in your maiden name and would advise taking your wedding certificate with you which I did and had no problems at all so you don't need to panic and get it done straight away.
The UK Identity & Passport Service advise against trying to travel on a passport in your maiden name, even if you carry your marriage certificate with you. Some countries will not admit you.
You can have a new passport issued in your married name at any time during the 3 months prior to your wedding. (However, you can't use the passport until the day of your wedding). As has been stated, you have to pay the full passport application fee, which is currently �66:
