No. It rises in north Staffordshire, flows around the southern Pennines, joins the Ouse to form the estuary of the Humber.
I hope that Snowy Owl isn't contemplating taking a boat on the Trent, east of Newark. He/she is likely to get into difficulties!

The Trent is tidal beyond Cromwell Lock and, at certain times of the year, exhibits a tidal bore:
