turkey prices

Hi

I am going to Turkey on Friday and not sure what things will cost - have been told it is great value for money but still not sure how much is i'd be expected to pay for a coke cola or a meal at night or for a bottle of beer?

any advice greatfully received.

PS does anyone know where the market in marmaris is and on what day - and also any advice/price for the ferry to rhodes- is it worth it??

hi cheryl iv been to turkey twice now its lovely there i cant remeber the prices but the markets when i were there were on everyday , (sorry i dont no too much heehee it was a couple of years ago iv slept since then) i would advice the trip to rhodes asa i stayed there last year and its lovely

I go to Turkey every year. First thing to remember you will need a tenner to pay for a visa when you arrive. When ever you go out shopping just barter with them and get the cheapest price you can.

I got back from Turkey about 4 weeks ago and a beer was �1-20 a ltr, a meal at night with drinks was about �16 and in a morning we had a full english breakfast for �1-00 honest, and it was great, you can pay in most places with the euro and they love English money.

All other abers are spot on with prices etc for cost of meals and drinks.
You can more or less find a market any day in Marmaris but I think the best one is in Icmeler which is on a Wednesday It is all enclosed but watch out for fake designer clothes and jewellery anywhere in Turkey
