4 of us want to go camping for a night. The campsite has to be near leeds and accessible by public transport. We'd like it to be really peacful and have a river that you can go on a boat down and a nice pub down the river... does anyone know a place like this?

This is a good site; I had a quick look for you but not too many in Leeds area. Good luck!
I've checked all of the campsites listed on the Leeds City Council website and then searched Traveline for public transport options. There seems to be only one campsite which is anywhere near to a bus route. (Even then, it's about a mile's walk). There's no mention of boating at this campsite (or any other in the area).

For what it's worth, the campsite is called St Helena's. I can't give a direct link to the site information because it's one which 'times out'. Instead, go here:

Select 'Camping', click 'Search', then go page 2 of the results and click on the relevant link.

Here's the location:

Bus 757 (Leeds to Otley, via Leeds/Bradford airport) runs along the green A-road, on the left of the map. (It's about a mile from the crossroads to the campsite but I don't know how close the nearest bus stop is to the crossroads).
