American Visa.
I went through all the proper proceedure for getting a US Visa for a holiday last Christmas but it runs out this November. It was only for 1 year although my conviction was 10years ago.
I hope to return to the USA next year but if i have to go through all the proceedure again i.e. police records,letters,$100 interveiw 50 to have pasport pick up i think i will think again
As anyone else been through this

Because my partner has 2 driving offences, he went through the correct proceedure to apply for a visa ,only to be refused because they said he could not show ,sufficient evidence of strong ties to the UK.
We have been asked over again and he will have to reapply for all the necessary paper work and go through the hole lot again.
His convictions are classed as spent now, but the usa embassy's web site say in so many words, that you still have a criminal record even if yours are spent, in the UK.
When he went to the embassy, he took lots of paper work with him, so god know's what it take's to get a visa.
Any-way may b not , i wish you good luck and best wishes.
Take care megan. xx

I think that having already had a visa this may noted on your records and may be picked up if you try to enter on the visa waiver programme. I'd give the American Embassy a ring if I were you as I was under the impression that visas lasted longer than 1 year.
