Trailer

We are borrowing a trailer to get us to France - what is the requirement regarding registration plates? Can we simply write it out on card for the trailer?
Also , we already have the ticket to Dunkirk but did not say we were taking a trailer. Will we have to let the ferry co. know??

You may get away without them, but legally you need them. Ferry firms quite often charge extra, so phone them and find out, otherwise you could be leaving the trailer at Dover (or wherever)!
