We didn't take any money with us. We withdrew Moroccan Diramh's from ATM's as we needed them. We had no problem getting hold of money this way. Their is 2 ATM's in the airport terminal. The first is about 10m in front of you when you come through, after getting your cases. We queued up here for about 10mins to get cash, only to find a second one, about 20m further on.
There are plenty of banks with ATM's and they were all releiable. Next to the ATM's most banks seem to have an Exchange Machine. Never used these, but did nearly try and withdraw money from them a couple of times.
Creditcards were quite widely accepted ie in hotels and some restaurants.
I would definitely recommend withdrawing money from an ATM, as and when you need it. We found no requirement for greenbacks or euro's.

OK, seems I didn't phrase the question very well. You can't take Moroccan money into the country, have to get it there from the ATMs, but they probably only give large notes. In Egypt, I took dollar bills for tips because it's sometimes difficult to get enough small egyptian notes for tipping. I wondered about euros because of the french connection with morocco.
Change was never a problem, in Morocco. Taxi drivers always had change, restaurants always gave change.
We knew that the taxi should cost 60dirhams from the airport to the town centre, so we withdrew 3100dirhams from the cash machine, so we knew we had enough small notes for the taxi. There is a cafe in the airport, where you could buy a bottle of water to get change if needs be.
The taxi's started trying to charge 150dirhams to go to the town centre, but when we said that it should be 60dirhams, we were bundled in the back of a cab very quickly, presumably so the could continue to fleece other tourists.
I didn't see anything priced in Dollars or Euro's when I was there. Whenever you asked the price it was always in dirhams. There are orange juice sellers, where a glass of orange was 3dirhams, and they always had enough change.
