expired passport

my partner is supposed to be going to norway to work on monday, but has just noticed his passport has expired by one month can he still enter norway then renew his passport once he is there? he'll be there for about 10 weeks. ps we live in the shetland isle and it is a 14 hr boat journy to aberdeen, then on to glasgow where the passport office is.

No.

He can visit the passport office to get an "instant" passport (well 4 hours) - I did that once on a Saturday.

But I see you have a long trip first so you may not even get there by Saturday.
