Renewing passports

Im wanting to book a trip to new york on the 5th of october but i have to renew my passport.It ran out in may last year!If i got the form and photos and sent everything of next week will i get my passport in time?
If there is any info i should know on this or any tips i would be very grateful for the help.Thanks Dean.

It rarely takes more than 3 weeks to come back - often less.

Assumes you've filled the form in right, sent the right fee, and have an acceptable photograph.

Take the form etc to the Post Office.

They will do a check to make sure the form is filled out right before they send it off, called Check and send.

It may cost a little extra but it saves having the form sent back for some simple mistake.

I got mine back afte 10 days, they txt now to let you know what day cos you need to sign and show id
