I'm soon travelling from London Waterloo to Paris and then from Paris travelling to West Africa.

I'm not sure regarding luggage and security checks if you are allowed to take mobile phones with you.

I have about 4 mobiles to take with me but I'm not taking the packaging just the mobile, manual & charger.

Any advice on if this is allowed?

i dont think it makes any difference.
With regard to luggage and security checks - no problem. The only requirement is that they are switched off in flight.

There may be some limit imposed by customs in the country he is visiting - either specifically on mobiles or more likely on the value of gifts. But that's a separate question.
Why do you have four mobiles?

To answer your question, I have 4 mobiles as I have been asked to get them for gifts and I got them in clearance in Carphone which were cheap, but why am I justifying myself to you?!

my daughter took 3 mobiles to turkey last week with us on holiday, one is a 3 phone that is great for pics and vids, one was her orange that her BF can ring for free and one was her 02 that i can ring for cheap. no probs at all, but her Bf acyually had to put 80 in all on her phoine during the week using the hole in the wall, it wsn't free for him and it cost money to recieve calls in turkey. but no probs flying, she put 2 in the hold and one in the hand luggage.

How sad, and to think people take a holiday to get away from it all.
I kinda think that as well veryhelpfulguy

I wonder at people who take laptops on holiday too

I would wonder at some one taking 4 mobiles with no wrappings and just the chargers? Sounds a bit funny too me

To ojread2 - you may find it a bit funny that I'm taking 4 mobiles with no packaging but I'm trying to save space in my luggage as the boxes for the mobiles are quite baulky!
