Postcard from Turkey

I sent Redbel a postcard from Alanya. Turkey on the 2nd of August. Redbel has phoned today to say it arrived this morning but it has a date on it 14th of august.
If I flew back to Manchester on the 6th of august and i have therefore been back for nearly 2 weeks, where has this postcard been that it only got franked on the 14th?

I am surprised it arrived at all. Postcards from some of those countries take ages to get here in the UK and normally they arrive weeks after the holiday.
Quite a lot of people give the postcards to their Rep early on in their holiday and the he or she posts them at the airport.

dot we over here always allow 10days at least for a normal letter to get to England, and we've even had Xmas cards three years late!! so all in all you got off lightly. Hope you had a super time, and didn't get hitched up one with those Turkish toyboys who want all your money.
