I was thinking of doing a tour of Sudan, visit the Lawrence of Arabia bits, climb the Pyramids, look over the El Alamein battlefield. Are there any particular local traditions or customs I should know about before I go ?

El Alamein and the pyramids are in Egypt.

Oh and Lawrence of Arabia never went to Sudan.

Not much point going on a pilgrimage in the wrong country eh.
