Flying from Vancouver can use Gatwick or Manchester Airports/ which would be best airport for bus connection to N.E.C.Birmingham (where I will get picked up)

I don't know about buses but if this helps, I believe there are trains from Gatwick to Birmingham, taking about 1 and 3/4 hours. www.networkrail.co.uk has timetables of trains in the UK.

The train station at Birmingham Airport/N.E.C. is Birmingham International. The main station in Birmingham city centre is Birmingham New Street.

you would b best to go to manchester. there is much more access to birmingham from here
