Best time of the year to go?

Hotel recommendations??

I'm travelling with fiencee and daughter 4 years old.

been to lots of website but none give you good info.

Hi Buzybee! we have been to Florida 3 times and have stayed at the Quality Inn International on International Drive. There are lots of restaurants within walking distance as well as shops and Lots of things to do - Crazy golf, Wonderworks, Cinemas etc. Buses run up and down International drive as well as a tram service. Coaches run from many hotels to the Disney parks, but a major tip is get the bus or tram to Seaworld and get the no 50 bus to the disney Bus station where free busses run to all the parks. A taxi to universal Studios is only about 5 pounds and again the bus or tram will take you to all the shopping malls and outlet centres. A 2 week bus pass with Lynx Busses is only 7 pounds which is fantastic value for money.

We are going this june in early June which means we means the crowds althoufh any time of the year can be hot april and may are the coolest! (about 25 degrees).

Weatherwise, it might be best to avoid June, July and August. With maximum temperatures around 33C, but with rainfall three or four times that of London, you'll be facing high humidity and frequent thunderstorms. The months either side of that summer peak, i.e. May and September also have high rainfall (especially September), coupled with high temperatures. November to February possibly offers the best weather.

I will say one thing (though others may disagree).

I happen to think that taking a 4 year old to Florida is a bit young. I think maybe about 7 or 8 is the youngest it is worth taking.

At that age they will have no idea they are in Florida and taking them on a 8 hour flight each way is no fun.

The parks are huge and it is long days and a lot of walking (or you pushing them round in a buggy).

At that age they will probably appreciate Disney in Paris just as much, there are two parks there now.

Take them to a week in Disney in Paris now, then do Florida in a couple of years.

(Some may say "we took our 4 years old and had a great time" so I am aware some may disagree, I just think it is a lot of money for a 4 year old who will probably not remember any of it - although the parents will of course).

I found it works the other way round too,took my teens to Disney...they didn't like it as much as Universal ,MGM etc better for them,rides wise i mean :o)

went in Jan once with 6yr old grandaughter, evrything great, not crowded so no big queues for rides, booked all with Virgin, didnt need a car., weather sunny but not too hot. You will be limited as to which rides permit a 4yr old to go on, usually depends on height.
Go soon and have a great time, though you will probably have to take her again in a few years time.
Disagree with comments about Disney Paris, yes its easy to get to by Eurostar , but if its cold and rainy [ been 4 times with grandkids and 3 times it was raining] its miserable, you just dont get the atmosphere there that you do in Florida, if you havent "done" Florida you will think its okay, but once having been to Disney in Florida or Anaheim you will realise that there is no comparison.
